The UPS delivery man has gotten to know us. He has delivered something about daily this week. Today it was #9 polishing paste. He always makes a comment about the progress. My mission today was fabric and upholstery shops. I went to 2 fabric stores, and I swear I will NEVER go back. I got a tip on a neighbor that does upholstery! I stopped by their house only blocks away, and met him. Very nice guy, and he and his wife are driving over this weekend to look at it, then they will give us a bid. I would way rather support a local independent person like that right here in the HOOD. Derald spent time at our local hardware store, his favorite place to shop. Jane, Martin and Travis came over for lunch. I BBQed turkey burgers, sweet potato fries, fried apples and smoothies. Everyone was gracious to act like they enjoyed it. Turkey burgers are not everyones favorite! Martin brought my chair he painted. I'll take photos Sat. and post them. It is WONDERFUL. Perfect for the Airstream.
This picture has nothing to do with anything. I took it at the Weston Apple Festival last weekend. This guy was rolling cigars! I asked him how he got in to that occupation. He said he wanted to do something he enjoyed, as he puffed his cigar. His little child was standing by him, as you can see their head over the top of the right side of the cigars. How do you explain that to a kid? The guy did a great job rolling those cigars though.
